St Paddy's Day

Happy St Paddy's Day!!!

Hope your St Paddy's day has been good and a little "Luck of the Irish" has come your way.  I have been listening to K-Love all day, hearing about how St. Patricks Day started and how it came about,   Although he's the patron saint of Ireland and one of Christianity's most widely know figures little is known about his life.  Here's what we do know:

He was born in the 4th century C.E. to a wealthy family in Britain, and his father was a Christian deacon. When he was 16, he was kidnapped and sold into slavery, where he turned to religion for solace.  Years later he was ordained as a priest and did some missionary work, but some well-known stories are myths.

Old Irish Sayings:

Here’s to me, and here’s to you. And here’s to love and laughter. I’ll be true as long as you. And not one moment after."

"There are only two kinds of people in the world, The Irish and those who wish they were.”

--"An Irishman is never drunk as long as he can hold onto one blade of grass to keep from falling off the earth"

"Where the tongue slips, it speaks the truth."

Enjoy your day!
